PRESS RELEASES AND MEDIA ADVISORIES
With support from our Director of Community Engagement, I wrote and distributed press releases and media advisories to 15 local news and radio stations. I created relationships with many media contacts, which was critical for United Way's growth and development. Check out some of my work below!
NEWSLETTERS
I created and wrote newsletters for United Way of Acadiana and two partner organizations, CASA of SoLA and Healthy Acadiana, each month. In addition, I also sent out messages to targetted groups for events such as our bimonthly Nonprofit Meetup and Women United. Newsletters were sent to 15,000+ individuals, with an average open rate of 35% and a click rate of 20%. Read some of these below!
CAMPAIGN
I produced our 2021 physical campaign materials and collaborated with a local studio to create our video. After a transformative year for United Way, we faced an interesting challenge - not everyone knew what we do for the community. At the height of COVID-19, we served 20,000 individuals at mass food distributions and assisted those affected by hurricanes. Check out our solution below!
